Expertise

Ben is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Hynes Legal.

Ben is responsible for development and execution of the firm’s strategy, operations and client satisfaction. Ben works with all Directors and Practice Group Leaders and the Operational Support teams to deliver high-quality specialist legal advice in a client focused, cost effective manner.

After graduating from the Royal Military College of Australia, Ben served as an Australian Army Officer before commencing a career in senior management roles in some of the world’s largest professional services firms, including Chief Operating Officer for accounting and advisory firm, BDO. Ben also spent several years in commercial management roles including four years as General Manager, Customer Operations of the ASX listed RiverCity Motorway Group.

A natural leader, coach and mentor, Ben’s leadership qualities were recognised in 2011 when he was selected among eight other finalists in Brisbane in the Australian Institute of Management’s Manager of the Year award. Among other characteristics, it was Ben’s humility, easy going nature, hands-on approach, commitment and stewardship of his various roles that led to this accolade.
